PUEBLO: The Sangre de Cristo Group of the Sierra Club endorsed Steve Nawrocki and Weston Burrer for the At-Large seats in the Pueblo City Council election. They were chosen by the Club primarily on the basis of their strong answers to twelve written questions on topics ranging from experience and expertise to recycling to water quality and more.
Steve Nawrocki was victorious in his bid for the City Council seat, having shown excellent leadership defending Fountain Creek, our most notorious endangered waterway in Pueblo. We are excited by the prospect of having Nawrocki as a strong environmental leader on the City Council.
