Hotline Takes Calls Reporting Attacks on Activists

In response to a growing number of attacks on environmental activists ranging from verbal threats to bombings, the Western States Center has set up a telephone hotline to assist those being harassed. The Center is an association of activists, community leaders and elected officials in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The hotline number is (503) 228-8859. For copies of event reports visit the Center’s website http://tap.epn.org/westernstates/ or call Brian Smith and Christine Triano at (415) 543-7770.
