Guide the Ride Vote

On November 4 Denver Metro Area voters rejected, by 58-42%, a plan to build additional light rail lines and commuter rail lines and provide better bus service and high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes around the metro area. The plan barely passed in Denver but was hammered in the suburbs and in Boulder County. If the RTD board had been as solidly behind the plan as the Sierra Club, Colorado Environmental Coalition and many other environmental groups, mayors, city councils and business groups, Guide the Ride might have passed. Many thanks to everyone who helped us in this good effort. RTD and transit supporters are trying to figure out where we go from here. Keep your ears to the rails.
