Peaceful Valley

The Peaceful Valley hike was a success. The fall colors were at nearly full tilt. We juxtaposed a tranquil stroll up the valley along Middle Saint Vrain Creek on the walking trail to the North with a return along the 4x4 truck rally road to the South! Our gradual ascent was marked by beaming yellow aspens soaking up the fall sun, towering pines hanging bearded tufts of Franky Fungus and Alice Algae, and rushing runoff through the creek. We lunched in a meadow just short of Indian Peaks Wilderness. Returning along the rally road, we saw beaming chrome bumpers, towering Jeeps and their lift kits, and rushing 4-wheelers and motorcycles of all types.
