The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Sierra Club (Rocky Mountain Chapter) has been protecting Colorado's environment since 1965. Our event allows us to follow our mission: to explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth; to practice and promote the responsible use of the earth's ecosystems and resources; and to educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the natural and human environment.

On Saturday, September 19, Coloradoans will join forces with the Rocky Mountain Chapter to raise funds for Clean Energy and Healthy Communities. The event will take place at Foothills Community Park in Boulder, Colorado. All proceeds raised from the Wild Step - Hike for the Environment will fund community programs to promote clean air, clean water, and clean energy in Colorado. A choice of trails is available for the hike, ranging from 2 to 5 miles. The routes meander through grassy meadows with wonderful lake views, or up the majestic flatirons.
