Blue River Group
Representing environmentalists in Summit, Eagle, and Grand Counties
The challenges/problems and focus for the Blue River Group include:
- Rapid growth and development in our high mountain towns
- White River National Forest policies and plans
- Major ski areas in Colorado: Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, Beaver Creek, Winter Park and more
- Many old mining sites leaching toxic metals into our water.
- We receive more precipitation than any where else in Colorado, but most of our water is used by front range cities and Eastern Colorado agriculture.
